The counting of votes is underway in the Kumawu by-election.
Polls closed at 5PM after it opened at 7AM on Tuesday, May 23.
Provisional results have started coming in.
For instance from the Polling Station A which is the Chief’s Palace, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate Ernest Anim polled 138 while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate Kwasi Amankwaa polled 16
There was heavy security presence across the constituency with the Inspector General of Police leading the team.
