Reggae-dancehall artiste, DSL has disclosed that he enjoys a lot of affection and connection from Date Rush contestants and their audience anytime he performs on the platform.
Born Lawrence Senyo Adiase, DSL, who appeared on TV3’s New Day while promoting the Daterush pool party revealed that he always feels at home when he visits the media network.
According to the Mentor X winner, working with TV3 feels like returning home and this is why he doesn’t hesitate to work with Media General when the need arises.
“Anytime I have a call from TV3 or Daterush, I know I am coming home. I feel like I’m home,” he shared
The Lynxx Music signee also indicated that the affection he enjoys from the Daterush contestants is a key motivation for him.
“Daterush has some kind of people that show me love anytime I’m performing and because they watch TV3, they know me. Whenever I perform for Daterush, I feel I’m performing for my people so it gives me the zeal, energy and happiness to perform,” he told Berla Mundi on TV3 Newday.
DSL will be performing as part of a star-studded lineup at the Date Rush pool party coming up on Saturday, July 8 2023.
The ‘Dancehall Mantse’ crooner also shared the inspiration behind his new song which is currently streaming on all digital platforms.
“Dancehall Mantse is out and on all digital platforms. The video is also available on YouTube. Dancehall Mantse is just a statement to all young dancehall artists, Kasoa, my friends and all my people. This is what they call and want me to be,”
