Gospel songstress Joyce Blessing says she sees nothing wrong with Kuami Eugene, a secular artist, writing a song, ‘Victory’, for her. Her comment comes after some industry players and fans, especially the gospel fraternity, frowned on Kuami Eugene’s decision to write songs for gospel musicians. Their reason was that “he is not part of them and is unholy.” However, reacting to this in an interview on Adom FM‘s Work and Happiness show, Joyce Blessing said all talents come from God.
Whether or not he is into the gospel is irrelevant. Singing a song that people want to hear again is not an easy task. Everyone’s heart is touched by it,” she said.
Regarding the responses, Joyce Blessing stated that each person has a right to their own viewpoint, which should be respected.
