The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that he has been emboldened to continue his exposés on the National Cathedral project.
This comes after the Human Rights Court dismissed an application by the Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral, Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng, that was seeking to restrain him from further publication on him relative to the National Cathedral.
The lawmaker’s publication on him suggested that the Reveberned Minister was engaged in a conflict of interest and double identity for allegedly operating under another name, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.
Reverend Kusi Boateng sued the NDC legislator for making publications
The Court dismissed Reverend Victor Kusi’s charges on the basis that they lacked capacity and locus standi.
The judge further awarded an amount of GH¢10,000.00 against Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng.
Commenting on this on the Ghana Tonight show on TV3 Thursday, July 13, Mr Ablakwa said “This gives me the further impetus, it gives me further verve to continue our oversight in parliament.”
He further indicated that there are questions for Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and of Lands and Natural Resources to answer on this project.
“This National Cathedral is the world’s most reckless project any government has embarked on,” he stressed.
