EDUPA commends GES for reinstating Fijai SHS, Ghanasco heads

Think tank Education Policy Institute Africa (EDUPA) has commended the Ghana Education Service (GES) for showing “fairness” and “equity” in reinstating two of its employees after investigations into various allegations against them.

The Service interdicted the Fijai Senior High School and Ghana Senior High School heads for various alleged offences including charging of illegal fees.

But after investigations led by the Western Regional and Northern Regional Education Directorates respectively both heads have been reinstated.

“The reinstatement of the employees is not only a commendable act of goodwill, but also demonstrates a commitment to treating employees with fairness and equity,” a statement issued by EDUPA Executive Secretary Mark Ewusi Arkoh on Friday, May 12 said.

“It is a positive step towards creating a positive work environment where employees feel valued and supported,” it added.

EDUPA COMMENDS GES FOR REINSTATING ITS EMPLOYEES

We Commend the Ghana Education Service for their exceptional efforts in reinstating employees who were previously interdicted. The decision to reinstate the employees we believe was made after thorough consideration and review of the circumstances surrounding their interdictions.

The reinstatement of the employees is not only a commendable act of goodwill, but also demonstrates a commitment to treating employees with fairness and equity. It is a positive step towards creating a positive work environment where employees feel valued and supported.

Education policy institute Africa recognizes the value of teachers and understand that they are the backbone of Education in ghana.

The decision to reinstate the employees is a testament to their dedication to maintaining a strong workforce and prioritizing discipline to promote effective leadership.

We extend our commendation to all partners in recognition of their commitment to deal with all sincerity and fairness matters concerning the wellbeing of Ghanaian teachers,students and the entire education body.
