Govt signs 3-yr $517m deal with UN to support economic resilience and transformation agenda

Minister of State at the Finance Ministry Dr Mohammed Amin Adam signed the agreement on behalf of the government

The Government of Ghana and the United Nations have signed the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2023-2025.

The agreement is to accelerate the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support Ghana’s economic resilience and transformation agenda, the Ministry of Finance said.

The agreement was signed in Accra on Friday April 28.

The Minister of State at the Finance Ministry Dr Mohammed Amin Adam signed the deal on behalf of the government of Ghana.

The 3 year US$517m compact between Ghana and the UN will empower institutions and people towards an inclusive economic transformation, equitable access to basic social services.

It will also empower the institutions towards the durable peace and security in Ghana and across the sub-region.
