Ghanaian artist Feli Nuna has taken to Twitter to share her side of the story as to why she did not renew her two-year contract with Fuse ODG‘s record label, Off Da Ground.
In a series of tweets, Feli explained that Fuse ODG did not live up to the terms of the contract they agreed upon.
She further elaborated that she believed Fuse ODG signed her to his label for hype and was not ready to put in the work needed to make her career a success.
“At this point, I believe Fuse ODG signed me to his label for hype. Just for show. He wasn’t ready to do the work. I really had high hopes. Fuse disappointed me tbh,” she posted
Feli Nuna, 32, also stated that she was offered two record deals in 2020, one from an American record label based in New York for $135,000, plus incentives, and another from Off Da Ground for no money but a good percentage of splits of revenue and masters.
Despite the financial difference, Feli chose to sign with Off Da Ground because of her friendship with Fuse ODG and his achievements as an artist.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned, and Feli’s career was treated like a part-time hobby. The singer and rapper noted that there was no accountability, and the label showed only the bare minimum effort. Despite her appeals for improvement, nothing changed, and after her two-year contract ended in 2022, she refused to renew it.
Feli also explained that she refused to extend the contract because she was offered an unencouraging amount for the production and promotion of her upcoming project, ‘Big Girl Pants.’

She further noted that the dedication and efficiency the label was already showing her was minimal and that they were giving her only the bare minimum. Feli believed that she deserved more and that she worked too hard to settle for the bare minimum.
I chose ODG because of my friendship with Fuse, his achievements as an artist. More over I was convinced by the songs we had started recording since 2019.
I believed that with hard work and dedication we were going to make way more than what was offered me in the US deal.

“It was defeatist to renew because the dedication and efficiency the label was already showing me was minimal. They were giving me bare minimum. I work too hard. I deserve more,” she stated
Recall that Fuse ODG claimed in an interview on 3FM that Feli was not patient to grow with his label.
He stated that he did not stop working with Feli but believed she could be more patient. He noted that she just wanted to see quicker results, but they had only been working together for a year, and things take time.
While at Off Da Ground, Feli Nuna released songs such as ‘Anadwo’ and ‘Towel.’ Despite her disappointment with Fuse ODG and his label, Feli remains optimistic about her career and continues to work hard to make her dreams a reality.
