Mzbel celebrates her daughter's arrival with a traditional Ga naming ceremony

Musician and business owner, Mzbel, has held a simple traditional outdooring ceremony for her newborn daughter.

Known in private life as Belinda Ekua Amoah, the hiplife singer chose to embrace her African roots by opting for a traditional Ga naming ceremony known as “kpodziemo” to officially name her daughter.

On Sunday, July 2, 2023, Mzbel announced that her daughter had been named Ohemaa Akosua Sikapa Tweneboa.

The naming ceremony, which took place in the presence of close family and friends, marked a special moment for Mzbel and her growing family, however, the baby’s father was visibly absent.

In an Instagram post a few weeks ago, the 43-year-old artist shared the news of her baby girl’s arrival with her fans and followers.

Mzbel, who has been exploring various spiritual paths, including African Spirituality, after her departure from Christianity, Judaism, and Hare Krishna, expressed her joy and gratitude for the new addition to her family.

This is the ’16 Year’ singer’s second child, as she already has a 10-year-old son named Nana Kwame Adepa from a previous relationship.

Rumours have been circulating that Mzbel secretly tied the knot with an anonymous man a few months ago, but she has kept the details of her partner private, leading to increased speculation and curiosity surrounding her personal life.

Throughout her career, Mzbel has been linked to prominent figures such as UT bank boss Kofi Amoabeng, Prophet Nigel Giasie and former President H.E John Dramani Mahama.
