NPP to investigate and punish persons who assaulted others during super delegates conference

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said it would conduct a full-scale investigation into the alleged assaults of some polling agents during the super delegates conference that took place on Saturday, August 26.

National Chairman of the party, Stephen Ayesu Ntim said that all persons who are found culpable will be punished for their actions.

During the polls, Ali Zakaria, one of the agents of one of the aspirants Mr Alan Kyerematen, was allegedly attacked.

Ali Zakaria was taken to the Baptist Medical Center (BMC) with swollen eyes after an altercation at the Nalerigu Senior High School, where the voting was conducted.

Speaking to journalists in Accra on Tuesday, August 29, Mr Steohen Ntim said “Disciplinary measures will be put in place, investigations will be conducted and discipline will be meted out accordingly.”
