Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday offered condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over a deadly gas station explosion in the city of Makhachkala.

In his message, Xi said that he was shocked to learn of the explosion in Makhachkala.

On behalf of the Chinese government and people, Xi expressed deep condolences over the victims and sincere sympathy to the bereaved families.
