Expressing his thoughts as part of the conversation on Showbiz 927 on 3FM, Journalist Edem Mensah-Tsotsorme has boldly declared that Sarkodie missed the point by using a diss song to reply to Yvonne Nelson.
According to the Entertainment journalist, even though Sarkodie had every right to respond to Yvonne Nelson he went about it the wrong way.
“Sark had every right to respond but the measure…because that also creates a certain image for you,” he submitted.
Edem explained that Sarkodie should have controlled the gravity of the response because it could impact his image.
Edem went on to advise that communication should be handled right because it has the capacity to affect emotions.
He suggested, “When you are communicating, you should be very careful about feelings because when you are communicating, you are going to cause a certain emotional feeling.”
According to him, with regards to Sarkodie’s response track, ‘Try Me’, the Ghanaian rapper should have done better than that.
“This could have been dealt with properly and Sarkodie missed the point.”, he declared.
Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson’s saga began after the launch of Yvonne’s memoir, “I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON” and was reignited on June 28, when Sarkodie released a song titled “Try Me” in response to the accusations in the book.
The track delves into his side of the story regarding his past relationship with the actress and addresses the allegations made in her book.
Released in the early hours of the morning, the song quickly caught attention due to its strong content and direct lyrics.
Sarkodie shared the link to the song on his YouTube channel, prompting a wave of reactions from fans and followers.
” I am not going to sit here and lie we had a thing, first I thought we were cool till I had a thing … You told me you were pregnant and I was the one to be blamed … yes I wasn’t ready but I told you to keep it and you explained that you have to complete your school,” he addressed the incident in the song.
