Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Anang has firmly highlighted that Yvonne Nelson’s book has not sent him back to his drawing board to edit certain things in his book set to be released a day after his birthday.

Speaking to Giovanni Caleb on Showbiz 360 on TV3, Adjetey Anang stated that Yvonne’s book had no impact on his because if it did, then he would be withholding information.

“Actually, no because then when I do, I’ll not be telling what I want to tell. It will not be real for me and having the courage to own your voice and let it out there without any. The motivation has to be right; that you are not doing this to sort of harm anybody but it is just for people to really look at you and where you are coming from and what has moulded you and nurtured you”, he answered when hit with the question with regards to Yvonne’s book.

According to the actor, his book was going to be mostly about him and how human he was just like every other person.

“Basically, chronicling my years: the good, bad and the ugly. It’s mostly about me, my journey and my flaws. Being in the spotlight, sometimes people think it is all rosy but even knowing what to do, and what not to do, can become a challenge and the pressure we put on ourselves and allow our audience to put on us too, you have to really negotiate those things”, he explained.

The all-time favourite actor added that the book was meant to call on the youth to be up and doing and not repeat mistakes the older folks have committed.

He shared, “I’m putting this out there for the young people out there that look, we are not super humans, we are not aliens, we make the same flaws that they do, it’s just that the spotlight is on us. So, you can’t repeat the mistakes we repeating. You have to be way better than us and I’m doing this so that young people would give our industry a brighter future and take us to another level.”

This book on the life of Adjetey Anang is set to release on the 8th of July, a day after his 50th birthday.
